Redefining supplememtal Transportation

Though Beetrans is only a supplemental transportation provider under the OHIO HOMECARE WAIVER program let us fill you, friends and family members in on what it actually means! There are multiple services offered for those who need the help most. We are more than happy to disclose this information with all members and non-members because all we wish to do, is help Columbus keep moving.

About Ohio Home and Community Waiver Services

ODM administers and operates two home and community-based waiver programs: the Ohio Home Care Waiver and the Transitions II Aging Carve-Out Waiver. These waiver programs serve individuals on Medicaid with long-term care needs that, in the absence of certain services, would require their needs to be met in a hospital or nursing facility.

The ODM-administered waiver programs provide eligible individuals in need of long-term care facility services with a cost-effective home and community-based alternative that recognizes the need for autonomy and independence. The waiver programs support the individual's right to choose to live in the community, encouraging them to live as independently as possible and with self-determination, while providing the services, supports and safeguards needed to ensure their health and welfare.

Waiver services currently include but may not be limited to nursing, personal care aide services, home care attendant services, adult day health center services, home-delivered meals, home modifications, supplemental adaptive and assistive devices, supplemental transportation, out-of-home respite and emergency response systems.
